The Half Day That You Will Never Forget: Black Bear Pass:
The Bear is the only one-way road in the San Juan Mountains, and that is one-way dropping down off the wall of the Box Canyon East of Telluride. The first leg of this trip is accessing Hwy 550’s Red Mountain Pass, which is often referred to as The Million Dollar Highway, that runs between Ouray and Silverton. To accomplish this we head up to and over Ophir pass, then back up to the top of Red Mountain Pass where we are able to start our journey over the Bear. The quick ascent to the top of this pass is exciting, but the descent into Telluride past both Ingram and Bridal Veil Waterfalls and the scenic Castle Structure perched on top of the Falls is truly (also deleted an extra “a”) a once in a lifetime adventure, unless you beg for us to take you over again. This is considered one of the more difficult 4 x 4 roads in Colorado, so it’s not recommended for people who are afraid of heights.
Adults-$100, children 5-12 yrs-$80 children 4 and under are free.
8:30am-12:30pm / 1:00pm-5:00pm

Our All Day Trips:
A typical allday tour begins by ascending to the top of Imogene Pass then following the Gold Belt on down the eastern side. The tour then travels through the spectacular wildflower-filled meadows of Imogene Basin and past the world famous Camp Bird Mine where you’ll learn of its tie to the Hope Diamond. Next you’ll enjoy a lunch stop in Ouray, which is known as the Switzerland of America. After lunch, we’ll head up Red Mountain Pass, the most exciting paved road in the country, with options to explore Corkscrew Pass or the Red Mountain Mining district--second only to Leadville in silver production, then home via Ophir or Black Bear Pass.
Adults-$125, Children 5-12 yrs-$95 children 4 and under are free.
8:30am-5:00pm

The Ultimate Tour:
Is the same as the All-Day tour listed above, but with a scrumptious picnic lunch packed up by Cindy Bread. This is both a favorite of our guests and our guides because of the freedom granted by not having to find a town for lunch, so the trip can reach out and explore new areas and side trips,
plus the food just tastes better as a picnic at 11,000 ft.
Adults-$140, children 5-12 yrs-$105, children 4 and under are free.
8:30am-5:00pm

The Sunset Tour:
Our Sunset Tour is a relaxing way to round up a wonderful day of
Telluride fun. This is the time of day to take some spectacular photos and view our local
wildlife (and we are not referring to the critters at the Fly Me to the Moon Saloon). You’ll enjoy up-close views of Bridal Veil Falls with time left over to visit the Alta Ghost Town or other scenic areas.
Adults-$60, children 5-12 yrs-$40, children 4 and under are free.
5:30pm-7:30 pm

Special Events:
Of course we can often accommadate special requests for wedding parties, photo safaris and overnight adventures to construction crews, rescues and exceditions. Just explain your situation to Leigh, and we will see what we can do.
