Dave's Mountain Tours is very proud to be the only provider of Historic Segway® Tours of the Town of Telluride.

The Segway® Human Transporter is the first of its kind—self-balancing personal transportation designed to go anywhere you go. With a Segway® you can easily maneuver the hills of Telluride as you explore our rich and colorful history. The Segway® requires no special skills (it takes care of the balancing-on-two-wheels part) and virtually anyone can use one. It's compact, yet powerful to navigate the roads and hills.

We have several Segway rental options available to suit everyone:

Segway Sampler

This is a quick 30 minute cruise around town. Ideal for those who have never ridden a Segway. You've GOT to try it! Perfect for a family activity!

Historic Segway Tours

On our 90 minute guided Segway® tour you will learn how to navigate and operate this magnificent device and then head off to some of the known as well as some of the lesser known historic sites in town.

The tour will pass some of our rich historical buildings and explain some of the colorful history our town has to offer. From our relationship with great scientists, miners, hippies, developers and many women of the evening, Telluride boasts both great interest and some humor around the evolution of this historic mining town.

Segway Rentals

Rent a Segway for a day! Daily rentals include a drop off/pick up service at your hotel and a 20 minute safety demo and hands-on training.

Children 14-16 years of age, with an adult can operate and enjoy the Segway. All participants should be between 90-250 lbs and able to stand without difficulty. The Segway® is not a complicated device to operate and allows people of all ages and fitness levels to enjoy our magnificent town.

Booking a Tour

Our Segway Samplers and Guided Historic Tours leave from the Gondola Plaza in Telluride. Call or stop by to make a reservation! You should plan to bring comfortable shoes, sunscreen, snacks and a bottle of water, a jacket or extra layer and your camera.
